British Home Children Mug Shots
Dawn Heuston, who does a lot of research for both our British Home Children and those who served in the war (both BHC and local boys to her home) has uncovered a source of information which contains information on some of our British Home Children. Discovering one's past ancestors sometimes reveals information which can be a little unsettling. Our British Home Children were not given good upbringing in families where they were taught good family values (for the most part). This would play out in their lives in a lot of ways. So we put this forward with no prejudice or misconceptions of its intent. We are not trying to embarrass any family, only bring forth that photo or history they seek. Good or bad, the whole story should never be concealed.
